Ardnamurchan 2020 – sherry hogshead peated

Ardnamurchan Distillery kondigde onlangs aan dat in de loop van 2020  hun eerste officiële whisky wordt gebotteld: The Ardnamurchan Single Malt. Ook werd aangekondigd dat Ardnamurchan stopt met het aanbieden van hun uitgebreide private cask programma, 2020 is de laatste ronde. We kochten uit het laatste private cask programma 2020 van Ardnamurchan een fresh ex. Oloroso hogshead (Spanish Oak), deze wordt gevuld met  peated spirit.

We splitsen deze cask in 40 delen van 6 flessen. De intekenprijs per deel is € 135,-. Bij botteling is nog accijns, BTW, bottel- en transportkosten verschuldigd. Reken hiervoor op ca. € 115,- per deel o.b.v. de tarieven per maart 2019. De verwachte all-in prijs per fles komt daarmee rond € 42,-.

Ardnamurchan Distillery recently announced that the first Ardnamurchan Single Malt will be launched towards the end of 2020. They also announced the end of their broad range private cask programme, current 2020 cask programme will be the final round.
We bought an Ardnamurchan fresh ex. Oloroso hogshead (Spanish Oak) from the final 2020 private cask offer. It will be filled with non-peated spirit and is split into 40 shares of 6 bottles, each share is € 135,- (to be paid now). When bottled in the future we will have to pay excise duty, VAT, bottling- and transportation costs. Based on tariffs march 2019 that would be € 115,- per share (to be paid in the future). The all in price per bottle is approx. € 42,-.
